The History of Dodge Neon Model

Dodge NeonDodge Neon that replaced Dodge Shadow, which was produced from 1986, was introduced in 1993.

There were actually three automobiles produced under Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth brands that differed by the emblems on the whole.

There wasn't only a four door sedan called Dodge Neon but also two door coupe that was provided with 155-horsepower engine.

The power plant range included two gasoline powered engines that produced 133 hp and 150 hp.

In 1998 1.8-liter engine was introduced.

In 1999 second generation Neon made its debut.

In 2003 the model was restyled.

Dodge Neon SRT-4 sporty modification was introduced. It was provided with 2.4-liter turbo-charged engine that puts out 215 hp.

In 2005 Dodge Neon was taken out of production. It was replaced by Dodge Caliber.
